1Who these terms are with

This site is operated from India by the individual behind Maximus's Arthashastra. Using the site means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, the remedy is to stop using it.

2What this site is, and is not

Maximus's Arthashastra is an umbrella for several separate ventures. It is not a broker, an investment adviser, a portfolio manager, or a research analyst, and it is not registered as any of those.

Nothing on this site is investment advice or a recommendation or solicitation to buy or sell any security. Descriptions of software describe software.

3The other ventures

The venture tiles link to businesses that are legally and operationally separate. Each has its own terms, its own privacy policy and its own obligations to you. Those terms govern anything you do on those sites, not these.

4Accounts

• You are responsible for the security of your credentials, and for everything done through your account.
• One account per person. Sharing credentials voids any support obligation.
• Accounts may be suspended for abuse, non-payment, or any use that puts other users at risk.
• You may close your account at any time. Closure is not a refund; refunds are governed by the refund policy of the specific venture.

5APIs

• API keys are issued to you and must not be shared or resold.
• Rate limits are published and enforced. Circumventing them, by rotating keys or otherwise, is grounds for revocation.
• The desk API returns your own data only. Attempting to reach another account's data will end the account.
• Endpoints in beta may change with notice. Endpoints marked stable will not change incompatibly without a version bump.

6Creator toolkit content

• You keep ownership of everything you upload and of the videos rendered from it.
• You warrant that you have the right to use what you upload, including any music, footage or likeness in it.
• Uploaded material is processed to produce your output and is not used to train anything or shown to anyone else.
• Rendering may be refused for material that is unlawful, that impersonates a real person, or that fabricates statements attributed to one.

7Payment

Nothing on this site is currently chargeable. When subscriptions begin, prices will be shown before payment, charged in Indian rupees, and renewable until cancelled. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period unless the relevant refund policy says otherwise.

8Availability

No uptime is guaranteed on this site or on the prototypes it hosts. Services may be interrupted for maintenance, by an upstream provider, or by a broker or exchange outage entirely outside anyone's control here.

9Risk

Trading in securities carries a risk of loss, including of the whole amount at risk. Automation does not remove that risk; it removes hesitation, which is not the same thing. Rules followed faithfully can still lose money. See the risk disclosure, which forms part of these terms for anyone using the trading desk.

10Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, liability for any claim arising from use of this site or its services is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. There is no liability for trading losses, lost profits, or consequential loss.

This clause is the one most worth a lawyer's attention, because a cap a court will not enforce is worse than no cap: it looks like protection and is not.

11Changes

These terms may change. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new date at the top, and by email to account holders where the change affects them.

12Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
